Teams

Create and manage the teams that play in your competitions.

The Teams page is where you set up the squads your organisation enters into competitions. A team has its own name, colours, badge and player roster, and can be linked to one of your clubs. You'll find it in the admin sidebar under Competitions → Teams.

Who can use this

Club admins and moderators can create and manage teams. Both roles can do everything described here.

The Teams page is part of the Competitions feature. If you don't see it in the sidebar, an admin can switch the Competitions feature on under Features. Everything you do here only ever affects your own organisation.

What's on the page

The main page shows a count of your teams and a New team button (top right). Below that is a searchable, sortable table of every team, grouped by club. Each row shows the team's name and colour, its club, the competitions it's entered in, its status, and its manager. Use the search box and the Club, Status and Visibility filters to narrow the list.

A team is marked Active while it's in a competition whose season hasn't ended, Inactive otherwise, and Archived once you've taken it out of use.

Step by step

Create a team

  1. Click New team (top right).
  2. Fill in the Details card — at minimum a Team name and a URL slug.
  3. Optionally set the team's colours, logo, short name, roster visibility, club and notes.
  4. Click Create team on the floating save pill (top right).

Edit a team

  1. Click a team's row, or the pencil (Edit) icon at the end of its row.
  2. Open the Team details section and change any fields you need.
  3. Click Save team.

Add players to the roster

  1. Open a team and expand the Players section.
  2. Click + Add roster member.
  3. Choose a Member, then optionally add a shirt number (#), Position, Role, and tick Captain.
  4. Click Add to roster. To take someone off, click Remove on their row.

Only active members of your organisation appear in the Member list. Add people on the Members page first.

Archive or restore a team

  1. On the table, click the Archive team icon on the team's row to take it out of use — it's hidden from public listings but its history is kept.
  2. Filter the Status to Archived (or All) to see it again, then click Restore team. You can also archive from a team's Remove this team section.

Tips & FAQ

  • A team's competitions are set elsewhere. The Competitions column is filled in when you enter a team into a competition's division — see Competitions. It isn't edited on the team form.
  • Sort by club to group your squads. The default sort groups teams under their club; you can also sort by name, recently active, or newest.
  • Use Archive, not delete. Archiving keeps the team's history and lets you bring it back later.
