Transactional email

The moment your organisation exists, so does its email: verifications, resets, receipts and confirmations are already wired up and on-brand, matching the site your members already know. No connecting an external mailer, no API keys, no template to build from a blank page.

Every email type has an editable template — change the subject and body, drop in variables like {{member_name}} and {{tenant_name}}, and they’re filled in (and HTML-escaped) at send time. Each save creates a new version with history to roll back through, and a Send test to me button sends you the result with sample values and a [TEST] subject marker before any member sees it.

Paid plans can add custom email types of their own alongside the built-ins.

Addresses that bounce or lodge a spam complaint are added to your suppression list automatically, with the reason, the bounce count and the date beside each one — and an admin can take an address back off the list once the member has sorted their mailbox out.

Your organisation also has an email allowance, and it is one pool shared across automated email and member broadcasts — the meter on the Broadcasts hub shows what is left of it, and the pool resets on your plan’s renewal date. The Free plan has no allowance for broadcasts, though the built-in automated email still sends.

Every message ships with a plain-text fallback and one-click unsubscribe where the law expects it — baked in, not bolted on. Automated email always uses the ClubHelix platform address, so it never waits on your DNS; when you want your member broadcasts going out under the club’s own domain, the custom sender setup is a guided checklist away.
