Every team gets its colours, badge and a proper squad list: each player with a shirt number, playing position and role, the captain marked, and teams grouped under the club that fields them. Roster visibility is yours to set — public, members-only or role-restricted — and members see their own teams from their account, so nobody asks “am I playing this week?” twice.

Appoint a Coach, Team Manager, Captain or Vice Captain (or any team-scoped position you create) straight from the team page — the person is notified, and the appointment shows everywhere roles are managed. Titles here aren’t labels: they carry the team’s actual working access.

Schedule a session, pick the venue, and repeat it weekly for up to 26 weeks — the whole pre-season, set in a minute. Players mark their availability in advance, answering In / Maybe / Out per session from the team page, and attendance is recorded on the night as Present, Late or Absent. Cancelled sessions stay visible, marked as cancelled, so the week’s plan is honest.

Coaches can see who has actually been turning up when selection time comes: the squad engagement card shows every member’s attendance rate and last-attended date, and flags anyone not seen for 28+ days — a ready-made nudge list before renewals or awards night. Attendance also lands on each member’s timeline in your member records.

Hand a coach or volunteer team-manager access to just their team: they run availability, attendance, the roster and match-day scoresheets without needing keys to the rest of your admin — no admin role required at all. Add them from the team’s staff section and they self-serve from there.
