Already have a website? This is the move

Most clubs booking a build are not starting from nothing. They have a site somebody made in 2019, a register in a spreadsheet, and nobody with a spare fortnight. Moving all of that is the job, and it is the part we do most often.

What we bring across

Your pages — rebuilt here with your words and photographs, on a theme in your colours rather than a copy of the old design.
Your members — from whatever export you can get out of your current system, checked for duplicates and previewed before anything is written.
Your web addresses — the old ones mapped to where each page now lives, so search results and links in old emails keep working.
Your domain — connected and verified, as the last step rather than the first.

What we tell you up front

Nobody copies your old design. It is rebuilt, and it usually ends up better — but if you love the current look exactly as it is, say so before we start.
Stored card details and direct debit authorities never transfer between systems, on any platform. Every member paying automatically has to authorise again, and we help you plan that campaign rather than spring it on you.
What we can retrieve depends on what your current system will give back. If the export is thin, we will say so early and suggest collecting current details through a registration form instead.
Publishing stays with you. We hand over a site for your committee to read, and nothing goes live until you say it does.

What we need before we start

Having these ready is what lets us build quickly. Missing a few? Send what you have and we'll flag any gaps at kickoff.

The written text for each page — a document or email per page is perfect
Photos and images you want used, at the highest resolution you have
Your club logo (a vector or high-resolution file if possible)
Your club colours — or we can match them from your logo
A link to your old website, if you have one
Your custom domain details and where it is registered
Membership types, fees, and what your registration form should collect
Sponsor logos and the links they should point to
Links to your social media accounts
The best person for us to contact with questions during the build

Share everything in one Google Drive folder. We recommend a shared Google Drive folder with a subfolder per page — each holding that page's text as a document and the images that go with it. Share the folder with hello@clubhelix.com and include the link in your email.

Content is frozen at your start date. Once your start date is confirmed we build from exactly what's in the folder — any changes after that are handled in your revision rounds, so your go-live never slips. Your site goes live within two weeks of the confirmed start date.
