Competitions

Round one to the last round, sorted.

Leagues and divisions with published fixtures and game schedules, entered-once results, and ladders (standings) that compute themselves.

Enter a result once — the ladder, team pages and public fixtures all update together.

ClubHelix is league management software built for the way local sport actually runs: set up a competition with its divisions, season dates and points rules, and ClubHelix takes it from there — fixtures publish to your public site, results feed straight into the ladder, and every team gets its own page.

Set up

A whole season from one short wizard

Four steps — details, divisions, scoring, nominations — and the competition exists. Run it as a league, a tournament, or a hybrid of league plus finals; add as many divisions as you grade; and tune the points for a win, draw and loss if the 3 / 1 / 0 defaults don’t suit your sport. Season dates carry an auto-archive date, so a finished season tidies itself away — with everything kept and restorable.

Fixtures

The fixture generator that saves your Sunday night

Point the round-robin fixture generator at a division, give it a start date, match time, days between rounds and a default venue, and the season schedule appears — tick double round-robin to play every pairing twice. Real seasons wobble, and the schedule keeps up:

  • Add a one-off manual fixture whenever you need one
  • Re-grade a team that withdraws mid-season and regenerate the remaining rounds
  • Fixtures and results publish straight to your public site — no re-typing

Ladders

Enter the result once — the ladder does the rest

Ladders compute themselves from the results you enter — wins, draws, points for and against, with tie-breaks applied consistently every week. You never edit standings directly, so they’re never wrong. No spreadsheet, no Sunday-night arithmetic, no “the ladder on the website is out of date” emails.

Youth leagues

Divisions, schedules and standings for a youth league

A youth league is the same machinery with more divisions: set up 8U, 10U and 12U (or whatever your league calls them) as divisions, generate each schedule, and let standings compute from the scores you enter, published to the league site parents already check. The youth sports league page shows the whole season, and our guides cover starting a league and setting up age divisions.

Match cards

More than a scoreline

Every fixture’s match card records the full picture: lineups, period-by-period scores, player statistics and home/away confirmations — and can turn a result into a published write-up with create match report from fixture. Every game also gets a public live match centre page, updating in real time while it runs.

Nominations

Clubs enter themselves

Nominations are self-serve: open a published entry window with open and close dates, an optional entry fee paid online, and a cap on teams per club — then affiliated clubs submit their teams through their own login. You approve each entry into a division with the club’s prior-season finishing position on hand to guide the seeding, or waitlist and decline the rest. You can always record an entry on a club’s behalf when it arrives by phone.

Finish the season

Knockouts and finals, from the same admin

Add a knockout tournament — single elimination, double elimination, or pool-then-knockout — and generate the bracket; already-played matches survive a regenerate. When the home-and-away rounds end, a ladder-seeded finals series takes the season to a grand final.
