Compose once, target precisely: everyone, a role, a council position, or members with an active paid membership — with only members who opted in to club emails ticked by default. The recipient count updates live as you refine the audience, and because the broadcast engine reads your actual member roster there is no exported CSV going stale in a separate email marketing tool.

Sending is an admin job out of the box, and you can hand it to a moderator or another helper by granting the broadcasts.send permission under roles and positions — without giving them the rest of the admin.

Start from a template, or build a broadcast straight from a newsletter, event or news post you’ve already published. Personalise with {{member_name}} and {{tenant_name}}, filled in per recipient, and reuse your saved intro, sign-off and footer so every broadcast looks like the club — a live full-email preview shows the whole message exactly as it will be sent, Send test to me addresses a copy to you first, and Save as draft parks it at the top of the hub until you are ready.

The visual newsletter builder assembles polished email newsletters from blocks — headings, rich paragraphs, images, buttons, dividers, two-column layouts — with your club’s theme colours inherited automatically, so every issue looks designed without a designer. Three starter templates get you past the blank page; preview in light or dark mode, desktop or mobile, before anything sends.

Send an issue to everyone, to chosen roles and positions, or to a hand-picked custom list of members. Every send reports opens and clicks with privacy-respecting, first-party measurement — no third-party trackers near your members, and the counts are honestly presented as minimums, since plenty of email apps block tracking images. Each newsletter can also be published to your website’s newsletter archive as a readable page, so the value of an issue outlives the inbox.

Schedule sends for the right moment — Thursday 7pm, not whenever the secretary got to it. Recipients are locked in the moment you schedule, so a broadcast aimed at this week’s squad stays aimed at this week’s squad. An email allowance meter shows what is left at a glance — one pool shared with your automated email — drafts wait at the top of the hub, Cancel is there while a broadcast is scheduled or still going out, and Resend failed retries just the recipients whose send did not succeed.

Consent is first-class — members opt in at registration or from their own account page, the consent list is visible (and exportable as CSV), and unsubscribes are honoured automatically. An unsubscribe link is always added to the footer; it’s required by law and can’t be removed, so a well-meaning volunteer can never send the club into spam-complaint trouble.

Someone who unsubscribes drops off the consent list straight away and is left out of every audience after that, whichever boxes you tick.
