Member chat

Give every team, committee and interest group its own channel, with membership managed by the club rather than whoever happens to hold the group-chat admin seat. A team channel is created synced from the roster — named after the team, filled with its players and manager automatically, and one click re-syncs it after roster changes. New members land in the right conversations automatically, and departed members leave them the same way.

Members chat at /chat on your own club site — link it from your navigation and the whole club is one address away. Chat is included on the Standard plan and above.

Safeguarding is the default, not a setting: there are no private member-to-member messages, moderators can see every channel, removed messages leave a moderation trail, and juniors are always represented by a guardian’s account — dependants never hold logins of their own. Channels-only messaging with staff oversight is the model committees and insurers expect for clubs with junior members.

Members can report a message and moderators can act on it — reports queue up for review with a link straight to the message in context. Delete a message that breaks your rules and it shows as removed while the content is kept for the audit trail; sending is rate-limited automatically, so a spammer can’t flood a channel.

New messages arrive as a push notification on members’ phones — never as email clutter — and members control chat notifications from their own preferences. Pair it with the club app on their home screen and team chat lives where their other conversations do.
