Clubs

Manage the member clubs that field teams in your competitions.

A club is a member organisation within your association — for example "Glenelg Hockey Club". Each club can field several teams across your competitions, and people can join a club so they're allowed to nominate its teams. You'll find Clubs in the admin sidebar under the Competitions group.

Who can use this

You need to be an admin or moderator of the tenant. Both can create, edit and delete clubs, and approve, reject or remove club members.

Clubs are part of the Competitions module, so this page only appears when the Competitions feature is switched on. If you can't see it in the sidebar, turn the feature on from Features.

What's on the page

The main Clubs page lists every club with its colour dot, name and URL slug, how many Teams each one fields, and whether it has a Linked tenant. Each row has an Open link, and there's a New club button at the top right.

Step by step

Create a club

  1. From the Clubs list, click New club.
  2. Fill in the Details card (see the field reference below). Only Club name and URL slug are required.
  3. Click Create club on the floating save pill (top right). You'll return to the Clubs list.

Edit a club

  1. Click Open on the club's row.
  2. Change any fields in the Details card and click Save club.
  3. To see how the club looks publicly, use View public page → at the top.

Add teams to a club

Teams aren't added from here — open a team under Teams and set its club. The club's edit page shows a Teams in this club card listing every team currently attached, with a link to each one.

Approve, reject or remove members

People request to join a club from its public page; each request shows in the Members card on the club's edit page.

  1. Open the club and find the Members card.
  2. For a request marked pending, click Approve to let them nominate the club's teams, or Reject to decline.
  3. To take away someone's access at any time, click Remove.

Delete a club

  1. Open the club and scroll to the bottom.
  2. Click Delete club. The club is archived (its teams are not deleted) and you return to the list.

Tips & FAQ

  • Who can nominate without joining? Members at the club's linked tenant, and federation admins, can nominate without a membership row — so you won't always see a member listed.
  • My club has no teams. Attach teams from Teams; the club edit page links straight there.
  • Where do members nominate teams? Once a club has teams and approved members, they nominate into your competitions from Nominations.
  • Deleting is safe-ish. Deleting a club archives it rather than wiping its teams, but the club disappears from the list and its public page.
