What this comparison answers

  1. Can we use ClubHelix if our association uses revolutioniseSPORT?

Yes, and many clubs do. Keep your association-mandated registration or competition system exactly where it is and run your public website, communications, events, shop, fundraising and compliance on ClubHelix, linking…

  2. Can we move our member data across?

Yes. Export your members to a spreadsheet and bring them in with our bulk CSV import, which previews the whole run and flags duplicates before it creates anything.

  3. Is ClubHelix cheaper than revolutioniseSPORT?

Not at the very small end. Their published A$112 a year for up to 100 members (as at July 2026) is a low number by any measure.

  4. Will we lose our search rankings if we move our website?

Not if you keep the same domain. Connect the domain your club already owns rather than accepting a subdomain, redirect your old page addresses to the new ones, and the links people have built up over the years keep…

  5. Is the comparison on this page current?

The revolutioniseSPORT facts here were checked on 24 July 2026 from public sources, and that date is shown on the page.

If your club runs on revolutioniseSPORT, there is a fair chance nobody on the committee chose it. Your state body or association picked the platform, sent through a login, and that became the place registrations happen. For a lot of clubs that arrangement works, and this page is not here to talk you out of it.

Clubs go looking for an alternative when the thing they need most sits outside the registration engine: a public website they are proud to share, sign-ups and payments on their own pages, a shop, a fundraiser, a canteen roster, and tools the next committee can pick up in October without a handover course. That is a genuinely different job, and it is the one ClubHelix was built for.

So what follows is a comparison, not a takedown. Everything here about revolutioniseSPORT comes from public sources checked on 24 July 2026, and where we could not verify something we say so rather than guess. Keep one thing in mind while you read: the two are not mutually exclusive. Where an association mandates a registration platform, plenty of clubs keep those rails exactly where they are and run everything else somewhere better suited to it.

What revolutioniseSPORT is genuinely good at

revolutioniseSPORT is a Sydney-based platform covering memberships, finances, registrations, events, competitions and governance, sold to clubs and to the governing bodies above them. It is the only other Australian product we have found that treats the club-under-governing-body hierarchy as a first-class idea rather than a bolt-on, and that shows up in exactly the places a state or national body cares about. Its reporting and census tooling is built for the sport as a whole, not just for one club, and member transfers and clearances are handled at federation scale. If a player moves from one club to another inside the same sport, that is a solved problem there, and it is not a small thing to solve.

It is also remarkably cheap at the small end. Pricing is published annually by club size: A$112 a year for up to 100 members, A$396 a year up to 500, and A$989 a year up to 1,500, with governing bodies quoted separately (checked 24 July 2026). Online payments run through Pin Payments at 2% + A$1.60 a transaction, or PayPal at 2.6% + A$1.63. For a hundred-member club with straightforward needs, A$112 a year is a hard number to argue with, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

What you get with ClubHelix that you would otherwise bolt on

The point is not that one column is longer. It is that most clubs assemble this list out of four or five subscriptions, each one a login somebody has to hand over next season.

Website and publishing. A canvas page editor you use on the page itself, a theme system in your colours, ready-made site templates, news, events with iCal subscription, venue pages with maps, and your own custom domain with indexing handled for you.

Members and membership. Self-registration with your own questions and terms, membership types and custom fields, digital cards with live QR verification, automatic renewal reminders, offline payment recording for the cash and cheques that still turn up, bulk CSV import, and versioned digital waivers.

Communication. Email broadcasts from your own sending domain, SMS for the Thursday-night washout, push notifications through an installable app, moderated member chat for teams and committees, RSVPs with guest counts, and QR check-in that writes the attendance record for you.

Competitions and match day. Competitions with divisions, fixtures and self-computing ladders, team nominations from affiliated clubs, finals series seeded off the ladder, a live match centre, and a match officials register with availability, appointments and fees.

Commerce and fundraising. A club shop with variants and per-order tax, event tickets with member pricing, raffles with permit details on record, recurring donations, discount codes, a sponsorship CRM, and treasurer exports.

Facilities, programs and compliance. Facility booking on a drawable venue map (exclusive or shared by the place, priced per slot or per head, paid by card or at the venue), term programs with enrolment and session attendance, an incident register, accreditation tracking with expiry reminders for working-with-children and first-aid credentials, volunteer rosters with self-serve sign-up, and governance meetings with lockable minutes and recorded motions.

Platform. Reports you can save and schedule, an audit log of every admin action, daily encrypted backups, granular roles and permissions built around council positions, and the Helix Assistant, which edits pages in plain English and answers questions out of the documentation.

Where revolutioniseSPORT may still be the better call

Your association mandates it. revolutioniseSPORT has governing-body distribution deals and we have none. If your sport requires registrations to flow through it, that is a real constraint, not a preference, and no comparison page changes it.

You need transfers and clearances between clubs. A player moving clubs mid-season, in the shape the sport requires, is federation-scale plumbing. We do not have a sport-wide clearance register and are not pretending to.

You are a governing body wanting census reporting in your sport's format. Our HQ roll-up reporting aggregates participation, compliance and affiliation across your own network of affiliated organisations. It does not produce a national census return in a governing body's mandated template.

Your club is small and the budget is genuinely A$112. At a hundred members with modest needs, their published small-tier price is very difficult to beat. Start on our free tier by all means, but compare honestly against that number.

While we are being honest, here is the rest of our gap list, whichever platform you land on. We ship an installable web app with push notifications rather than native app-store apps. We take card payments through Stripe and Square only, so no GoCardless direct debit. We have no background-check or screening integrations, no video streaming or match analysis, no access-control hardware, no Zapier, and the admin, your club's public site and member accounts are in English only today; only our own marketing site has Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese previews.

Where ClubHelix fits

ClubHelix is the right call when the club-facing side of the job is the part that hurts. If your registrations are fine but your website is embarrassing, if the treasurer reconciles a shop, a raffle and a membership run out of three different systems, if the comms plan is a group chat somebody's partner administers, or if the whole thing falls over every time the secretary changes — that is the shape of problem we built for.

You get a real website with the machinery behind it, on your own domain and in your own colours, with membership, payments, competitions, commerce, facilities, compliance and reporting on one login and one permission model. Pricing is published, there is a free tier to start on, and paid plans bill every 28 days or yearly at a discount.

And if your association is on revolutioniseSPORT, you do not have to choose. Keep the mandated registration rails, link to them from your join page, and run the club on ClubHelix around them. That coexistence is the most common way clubs start with us, not a consolation prize.

Switching from revolutioniseSPORT

Export your members. Get your roster out as a spreadsheet, including membership type, contact details and paid-until dates.

Import the roster. Our bulk CSV import runs a dry-run preview with duplicate detection first, so you see exactly what will land before anything is created.

Rebuild the site. Start from a site template, then rework it in the canvas editor. Most committees have a working site inside one evening.

Point the domain. Connect the domain the club already owns. Certificates issue automatically once DNS verifies, and old addresses redirect so search results still land.

Decide what stays. If your association mandates registration on revolutioniseSPORT, keep it and link out. Move only what you are free to move.

Or hand it over. Our done-for-you setup covers the whole migration, site content included.

Two guides worth reading first: moving club member data between systems, on what a complete export looks like and how to check yours before you commit, and switching club software without losing your members, on the re-authorisation campaign every move needs.
