Frequently asked questions
- Does ClubHelix work for South African clubs today?
- Yes. Sign-up is open worldwide, and the website, membership, fixtures, events and email all work for South African clubs. Online card payments are not yet available for clubs in South Africa, so fees paid in cash or by EFT are recorded against each member. Check the pricing page for current plan details for your region.
- Is it heavy on data?
- No — the platform is a lightweight web app. Members install it from the browser with no app store download, and pages are built to stay light.
- How long does setup take?
- An afternoon for most clubs: pick a template, add your colours through the guided setup, and publish. Registration, events and fundraising can be switched on afterwards.
- Do members need to download an app?
- No — everything works in the browser, and members who want the app experience install the club to their home screen in two taps, with push notifications included.
- How do we move a club that already has a website and a member list?
- Take the export first and open it before you commit to anything — what a system gives back varies, and thin exports change the plan. A clean file imports as a CSV with duplicate detection and a preview; the pages are rebuilt from a template, not copied; the domain moves last. Saved card details never transfer between systems on any platform, so members paying automatically re-authorise on the new one.
